Job Description

As a Senior Management Accountant within the Gross Margin team, you will take full ownership of the gross margin accounting, internal reporting, and financial insight that drive strategic decision‑making across the business. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will lead month‑end delivery, oversee P&L and Balance Sheet integrity, strengthen business partnering across key commercial and operational teams, and proactively identify risks and opportunities. Acting as a senior member of the team, you will coach and mentor junior accountants, set standards of excellence, and continuously improve our financial processes. Your ability to influence, challenge, and communicate with clarity will ensure high-quality financial outputs and support SharkNinja’s ambitious growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the production of accurate, timely monthly management accounts, ensuring clear and insightful variance explanations
  • Present monthly financial results to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insight
  • Own the Gross Margin P&L, providing in-depth margin and variance analysis to highlight risks, opportunities, and key trends
  • Take full responsibility for Balance Sheet postings and reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and robust risk assessment
  • Build strong relationships with Sales, FP&A, Commercial and Supply Chain teams, acting as a trusted partner
  • Use your analytical problem-solving skills to support decision-making, challenge assumptions, and provide data driven recommendations
  • Deliver clear, concise financial insight tailored for non-Finance audiences
  • Mentor and support junior accountants
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Identify inefficiencies in accounting and reporting processes, leading improvements and automation initiatives
  • Support enhancements within ERP systems and reporting tools to streamline month-end and improve visibility

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a finance/ accounting role, ideally with exposure to B2B or e-commerce channels
  • Knowledge of gross margin accounting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • ERP experience (Oracle or similar) is preferred
  • Knowledge of IFRS15 and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) is preferred
  • Fully qualified accountant or finalist in ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders
