Job Description:

Airswift is looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician - ROV (Onshore) to work in a permanent contract in Rio das Ostras with a major Oil & Gas Company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform maintenance, failure analysis, and technical analysis consistent with your experience and skills, with some autonomy
  • Establish good interfaces with external clients, suppliers, and other company departments involved in maintenance work
  • Participate in meetings with clients, outsourced companies, and discussions of technical matters
  • Assist in supervising small teams regarding schedules, technical specifications, and safety
  • Permanently assist in controlling the costs of small services
  • Support and monitor maintenance activities performed by junior team members (Technician II, Technician I, and Interns)
  • Participate in pre-task meetings to confirm that all tasks and individual responsibilities have been understood
  • Review Task Risk Analysis (TRA) that is more than 2 years old from the date of the last review before starting any task or as needed
  • Create Task Risk Analysis (TRA) for new tasks and submit it for coordinator approval
  • Pre-evaluate the Failure Report generated by the offshore team before starting equipment maintenance in order to increase the accuracy, reliability, and availability of the equipment, reducing rework levels
  • Review equipment checklists whenever improvements in the maintenance process are necessary to enhance availability, capacity, and performance
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment that makes up a complete ROV system, such as: ROV, Survey, Tooling, LARS, Operating Cabin, Maintenance Container, and all their respective subcomponents
  • Execute maintenance, tests, and failure analyses on equipment with a higher level of complexity, in addition to troubleshooting and making diagnoses

  • Oversee the safe and effective operation of Saab Seaeye and Kystdesign ROV systems across all phases of offshore work, including mobilisation, dive operations, and demobilisation
  • Lead the ROV team, ensuring all personnel are briefed, supervised, and supported in delivering operational tasks to the highest standards of safety and technical quality
  • Act as the primary offshore point of contact for all ROV-related activity, maintaining clear communication with the Offshore Construction Manager, vessel crew, and client representatives
  • Ensure full compliance with Boskalis Subsea Services QHSE policies, project-specific procedures, and applicable IMCA guidelines and recommended practices
  • Conduct and lead pre-dive checks, toolbox talks, and risk assessments, promoting proactive safety culture and operational readiness
  • Monitor ROV system performance, ensuring early fault detection, effective troubleshooting, and coordination of repairs with the offshore team and onshore support as needed
