Job Description:

A Senior Mainframe Developer Vice President specializing in Automated Clearing House (ACH) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system experience, along with application Development & Maintenance. Responsibilities include designing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications and EDI solutions, ensuring compliance with NACHA standards, and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Job Responsibility:

design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using languages like COBOL, JCL, and DB2 to support critical banking operations, particularly payments and ACH processing
implement and optimize EDI solutions to meet business requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards
diagnose and resolve system issues with minimal operational disruption, providing production support for complex applications
work with EDI documents and possess hands-on mapping experience
ensure systems comply with NACHA standards for ACH operations and other regulatory requirements
develop documentation, including EDI specifications, mapping documents, and standard operating procedures
partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Requirements:

6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
proficiency in COBOL is fundamental, along with experience in JCL, CICS, and DB2
knowledge of Assembler may also be required
strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems such as IBM z/OS, and potentially z/Linux
expertise in DB2 and SQL is crucial
familiarity with VSAM files management is beneficial
experience with TSO/ISPF, MQ, z/OS API's, OPC Scheduler, and Change man
familiarity with Xpeditor, SDSF, and SCLM is preferred
proficiency in JCL development is essential.

Nice to have:

strong knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT
experience with protocols like Connect: Direct (NDM), FTP, and SFTP
proven experience with EDI mapping tools such as Sterling Integrator (GIS/B2BI), BizTalk, or similar technologies
knowledge of XML, JSON, and other data interchange formats
in-depth knowledge of banking processes, particularly ACH transactions and payments
strong understanding of NACHA rules and ACH operations
experience with payment systems like ACH PEP+, ACH Exchange.
