Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Operator to join our team in the Steel industry. This is a contract position based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, offering a proactive work environment for professionals with a strong background in machine operation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate and maintain various types of machinery within a steel processing environment
  • Ensure efficient and safe operation of machines, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to meet quality and output standards
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise during machine operation and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports as required
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control and workplace safety
  • Potentially assist in training junior operators on machine functions and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology) or equivalent practical experience
  • A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years of experience in machine operation
  • Proven expertise in operating various machines, including specific experience with CNC machines and general machine shop equipment
  • Strong understanding of steel industry processes and machinery is highly desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
