Job Description:

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on the ML & AI engineering team at Checkr you will be responsible for building and managing end–to-end, cutting edge ML application systems to contribute to Checkr top strategic goals. You will work closely with other engineering and product teams to implement the best algorithms and processes at scale across Checkr services.

Requirements:

BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
7+ years of industry experience, especially in roles focused on machine learning
Experience building production-ready ML/NLP systems
Proficiency in Python
Hands-on experience building and designing experiments to evaluate different ML/AI algorithms (including deep learning)
Knowledge of PySpark and MLOps frameworks like SageMaker and MLFlow is a plus
Knowledge of generative AI, fine-tuning, and AI design patterns is a plus
Proficiency with Pandas and sci-kit learn

Nice to have:

Knowledge of generative AI, fine-tuning, and AI design patterns
Hands-on experience with PySpark and MLOps frameworks like SageMaker and MLFlow
