About the Company Our client is a well-established NZ dairy business with a strong presence in global export markets. They operate across a network of company-owned and third-party warehouses and have a high-volume, fast-paced logistics function at the core of their operations. The Role Reporting to the Group Logistics Manager, the Senior Logistics Coordinator takes ownership of outbound shipment planning and execution across global markets. The role sits at the heart of the logistics function, coordinating across carriers, 3PL partners, and internal teams to keep freight moving efficiently and cost-effectively. Key Responsibilities: Plan and book outbound shipments across global markets, selecting optimal carriers and vessels Monitor container supply and resolve disruptions, managing volume forecasts for shipping lines and warehouses Act as the primary point of contact for 3PL partners, holding them to agreed service levels across receiving, storage, picking and dispatch Identify and resolve service issues, implementing corrective actions where required Support tendering, onboarding and transition of new 3PL providers Identify cost optimisation opportunities across the freight and warehousing network Contribute to network design, capacity planning and long-term warehousing strategy Ensure freight rates are current and costs are accurately recovered from customers Maintain data accuracy Key Skills & Experience Required: 5+ years’ experience in a supply chain, freight or logistics role Strong working knowledge of international shipping, carrier management and container logistics Proven 3PL management experience with the ability to hold partners accountable Commercially aware with the ability to identify cost optimisation opportunities High attention to detail and strong data accuracy discipline Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external parties Comfortable working at pace and managing competing priorities under pressure Tertiary qualification preferred; supply chain or logistics discipline an advantage ERP experience; NAV familiarity an advantage What’s in it for you This is a senior individual contributor role with genuine operational ownership across a complex global logistics function.
