The Florida Design Center within Boeing’s Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems Organization is looking for a Loads and Dynamics/Vibroacoustics Engineer to help support cross program needs in manned space as well as other emerging needs in Titusville, Florida.
Job Responsibility:
Oversees, reviews and conducts complex loads and dynamics analyses
Plans and organizes loads and dynamics analysis work at the program level to ensure compliance with vehicle integrity and stability requirements to establish system design
Oversees development and execution of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Integrate Artificial Intelligence into current and future analysis and tools
Perform analysis for the Space Launch System program addressing the Vortex Shedding phenomenon experienced during Artemis 1
Responsible for digital signal processing and how to correctly asses/process various forms of test/flight data
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
Experience in launch vehicle acoustics with a deep
Experience with wind tunnel data and how to effectively map this data onto vibroacoustic models using Statistical Energy methods
Experience with Artificial Intelligence and how best to integrate it into current and future analysis and tools
Experience with specialized vibroacoustic and structural acoustic skill sets
Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required
Nice to have:
Strongly prefer PhD in Structural Acoustics
Experience working on other manned space programs
Experience working on underwater platforms
