Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Litigation Paralegal with medical malpractice experience to join our mid-sized law firm client's team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is ideal for candidates with extensive experience in civil litigation, particularly in medical malpractice, insurance defense, or personal injury cases. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all aspects of case preparation, including drafting legal documents, organizing evidence, and conducting thorough research
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation by creating visual aids, models, and mockups to support case presentations
  • Coordinate with medical professionals and other experts to gather critical information for medical malpractice cases
  • Oversee filing and document management systems to ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines
  • Collaborate with team members to prepare and execute strategies for depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Provide detailed analysis of case materials and summarize findings for attorney review
  • Facilitate communication between clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to streamline case progression
  • Arrange and maintain schedules for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
  • Ensure all legal tasks are completed efficiently while adhering to quality standards and ethical guidelines

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably with exposure to medical malpractice, insurance defense, or personal injury cases
  • Proficiency in civil litigation processes, including trial preparation and case management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and document management systems
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Knowledge of visual aid preparation, including models and mockups, for trial purposes
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail in all aspects of legal support
