Job Description:

We’re partnering with a highly respected plaintiff-side firm seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to support a lead partner on asbestos and complex civil litigation matters. This is a long-term contract opportunity with immediate start and consistent workload. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys taking ownership of cases, working independently, and being a true right hand to the partner.

Job Responsibility:

Managing a high-volume litigation caseload from pleadings through motion practice
Drafting and arguing motions, discovery, and other law & motion matters
Conducting in-depth legal research and writing
Strategizing with the lead partner on case direction and deadlines
Operating independently in a fully remote environment while meeting aggressive timelines

Requirements:

California licensed attorney in good standing
Strong background in civil litigation (plaintiff or defense)
Plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred
Asbestos litigation experience is a big plus, but not required (plaintiff, not defense)
Proven ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage deadlines without daily supervision
Comfortable handling a fast-paced, high-volume docket
Excellent legal writing, research, and organizational skills
Tech-savvy and able to work efficiently in a remote setting

Nice to have:

Asbestos litigation experience
