Job Description

We’re partnering with a highly respected plaintiff-side firm seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to support a lead partner on asbestos and complex civil litigation matters. This is a long-term contract opportunity with immediate start and consistent workload. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys taking ownership of cases, working independently, and being a true right hand to the partner.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing a high-volume litigation caseload from pleadings through motion practice
  • Drafting and arguing motions, discovery, and other law & motion matters
  • Conducting in-depth legal research and writing
  • Strategizing with the lead partner on case direction and deadlines
  • Operating independently in a fully remote environment while meeting aggressive timelines

Requirements

  • California licensed attorney in good standing
  • Strong background in civil litigation (plaintiff or defense)
  • Plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred
  • Asbestos litigation experience is a big plus, but not required (plaintiff, not defense)
  • Proven ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage deadlines without daily supervision
  • Comfortable handling a fast-paced, high-volume docket
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Tech-savvy and able to work efficiently in a remote setting
