Job Description:

We are seeking a senior litigation attorney for a General Counsel position in Sacramento, California. This role involves initiating and directing the implementation of policies and procedures, overseeing liability insurance policies, and coordinating with outside counsel on any claims.

Job Responsibility:

  • Initiate and direct the implementation of best practices
  • Collaborate with others to develop and direct supporting services
  • Oversee liability insurance policies and manage coverage issues
  • Act as the primary contact for outside counsel regarding claims
  • Provide recruiting statistics to management and personnel teams
  • Conduct in-house MCLE seminars
  • Track and share State Bar opinions and guidance concerning legal ethics

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge in Insurance Law
  • Prior Civil Litigation Experience
  • Ability to provide sound Legal Advice on a wide range of issues
  • Experience in conducting and participating in Committee Meetings
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and implementing Policies and Procedures
  • Strong background in Risk Management
