Job Description:

This role at HSBC France involves being a senior member of the liquidity team responsible for setting liquidity management strategies, regulatory reporting, local change project oversight, and delivering a key annual regulatory document (ILAAP). The team collaborates closely across departments and regions, ensuring optimized liquidity and funding while maintaining compliance with local regulations and guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Setting the strategy for liquidity management and implementing the liquidity policy
  • Owning entity stress testing and steering the entity’s liquidity
  • Overseeing local change projects and partnering with the businesses
  • Ensuring liquidity and funding are optimized within limits and local regulations
  • Coordinating annual ILAAP report and other regulatory deliverables
  • Communicating confidently with senior stakeholders
  • Operating effectively across a matrix with regional and global colleagues

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of the drivers of liquidity risk
  • Ability to translate complex topics into concise messages for stakeholders
  • Communication skills suitable for regulators and Board-level stakeholders
  • Prior experience working in Treasury/Liquidity management
  • Experience in a bank Treasury department in 1st or 2nd line role
  • Understanding of liquidity/funding consumption of a trading book business
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate risks through escalation paths
  • Regulatory engagement experience
  • Open and curious mindset
  • Ability to operate effectively within a virtual team across the matrix, building strong relationships with stakeholders
