Join us as a Senior Legal Counsel and support our global business with strategic legal expertise. You will advise on complex commercial agreements, partner with key stakeholders, and help manage risk while contributing to a high-performing international legal team.
Job Responsibility
Review and negotiate agreements in connection with commercial transactions
Offer general legal advice to Company management and functional business groups
Build and manage ongoing relationships with key legal stakeholders
Partner with key business stakeholders to understand business context and priorities
Mitigate major risks that threaten the delivery of work for contracts that are on customer forms or created internally
Requirements
Law degree and a professional license / authorization to practice law with 10+ years of commercial contracting experience
Previous experience with multinational industrial / manufacturing companies preferred but not required
Previous in-house experience preferred but not required
Strong experience in commercial law including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with end customers
Proficient in drafting various types of contracts in English
The ability to identify, analyze, assess and communicate legal risks to enable internal clients make quality, risk-adjusted business decisions
Experience in managing and supervising a team of lawyers and/or paralegals. This includes providing guidance, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering professional development within the legal team
Strong organizational skills - ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities and geographies concurrently and prioritize to meet required timelines
Decisive decision-maker who understands global organizational impacts and has cultural awareness
English Fluency (other languages a plus)
Excellent verbal and written communications
Flexibility to adapt and lead through change as business requirements evolve
Familiarity with multiple Ecolab Divisions preferred
