Job Description:

Provide expert and professional legal advice, guidance, and support to ensure that legal and reputational risks faced by HSBC Korea are identified, reported, and mitigated

Job Responsibility:

Partner with banking and securities businesses to develop and execute strategies to navigate complex financial regulatory environment
Advise relevant management on non-standard legal and reputational risks
Provide support and guidance to assigned departments and Regional/Country Legal Function regarding legal risks
Execute against policies and procedures to ensure proper execution of Legal's role in the second line of defence

Requirements:

Qualified lawyer with relevant experience at a comparable financial institution or law firm
Strong understanding of Korea's regulatory changes and their implementation
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at different levels of seniority
Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with stakeholders/customers
Practical and pragmatic approach with ability to appropriately balance legal risks with commercial considerations
Self-starter able to work independently, prioritise effectively, and support complex matters with limited supervision
Open to both Korean and Foreign lawyers
