Senior Legal Counsel

• Provide legal advice, guidance and support to Corporate and Institutional businesses
• Manage exposure to legal risk while helping achieve commercial objectives
• Remain up-to-date on existing and changing laws and regulations
• Have conversations with external clients related to complex trading agreement negotiations
• Drive implementation of scalable process/procedure improvements
• Provide expert legal and strategic advice to ensure legal and reputational risks are identified and mitigated
• Be a trusted advisor on markets related regulatory issues
• Assist with driving regulatory policy advocacy initiatives with U.S. regulators
• Partner cross functionally to assess risk and solve complex regulatory issues

• Minimum of five years of legal experience
• Strong knowledge of US securities laws, FINRA broker-dealer rules, and CFTC rules and regulations
• Knowledge of regulations relating to equity prime brokerage financing and/or futures and cleared swaps is a plus
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, interpersonal, organizational, legal research and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload calendars effectively
• Ability to lead by influence, drive change, and move quickly between diverse topics
• Juris Doctorate degree
• Admission to applicable state Bar and pertinent levels of courts in applicable states
• Ability to quickly apply abstract concepts of law and make innovative decisions
• Ability to defend the Company and Group affiliates from claims while maintaining reputation for honesty and integrity
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
