Job Responsibility
Adhere to Bombardier General Work Rules
Participate in all corporate legal activities
Assist and/or lead the negotiation, drafting and/or review of various commercial agreements related to the sale of products and or services (including aftermarket services) to customers
Manage claims, HR issues and potentially litigious matters in conjunction with the Bombardier litigation team
Support US infrastructure projects and expansion of US service centers
Support the compliance team with US related compliance issues
Be solicited by your clients regularly in order to provide legal guidance, advice and to ensure compliance with contracts and for legal interpretation of different contractual provisions
Be relied upon to identify and anticipate commercial and contractual problems by ensuring efficient communication between your clients and other stakeholders, including Tax, Risk Management, Export Control and Compliance groups
Serve as a key resource on complex and critical issues
In this role you may be required to travel occasionally (within the continental United States of America or Canada)
Requirements
Juris Doctor degree (J.D.)
Admittance to at least one US State Bar
At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in corporate law, commercial contracts and/or commercial litigation
Leadership capabilities, ability to work autonomously, excellent legal and business acumen, ability to take quick decisions and provide strategic advice in a fast moving, dynamic environment
Strong negotiation, drafting and communication skills
Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate work
Interpersonal skills and ability to work with legal department and non-legal department colleagues, as well as all levels of management
Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications
