We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Manager to join our SSC Legal team in Budapest. This role supports the Vodafone Procurement Company (VP&C) in Luxembourg as part of the VP&C legal sub-team focusing on Commercial Operations. The individual will provide expert legal counsel on international procurement agreements and related commercial and regulatory matters, manage a team of lawyers in Budapest, and collaborate with senior legal professionals across Group Legal and cross-functional initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Provide legal advice and support for contracts and other legal documents within the Responsible Areas
Counsel and collaborate with business stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, and manage escalations effectively
Draft and negotiate complex and strategic agreements end-to-end under English law
Supervise and train junior team members, ensuring quality control and appropriate escalation of matters
Develop templates, guidance notes, and playbooks for legal processes
Deliver individual and group training sessions on relevant legal topics to VP&C Legal teams in Budapest and Luxembourg
Identify and mitigate legal risks in contracts and highlight major commercial risks to stakeholders
Coordinate workload and development opportunities within the team to ensure efficiency and fairness
Requirements:
Strong academic credentials with a law degree from a reputable institution
Minimum 6 years’ experience in an international law firm and/or legal department of a multinational technology company
Expertise in commercial contract law with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and resolve complex legal issues pragmatically
Experience in supervising and training legal professionals
Fluent in English with experience in drafting and negotiating contracts under English law
Preferably, experience in telecommunications products and services and membership in a state bar
