Requirements

JD or equivalent from an accredited institution and admission to at least one US state bar
10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years leading teams and/or functions (in-house and law firm)
Strong background advising on marketing, advertising, promotions, privacy, applicable regulatory, and consumer protection issues
Experience with regulated and age-restricted products and/or loyalty programs is highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, balance risk, and work quickly with creative, fast-moving teams

Job Responsibility

Support the Marketing, Digital, and Communications functions at Circle K
Provide day-to-day legal advice on marketing and advertising initiatives, including claims substantiation, promotional campaigns, sweepstakes, and digital marketing
Advise on the legal aspects of: websites, mobile apps, and online platforms
e-commerce and digital sales

Review and approve marketing copy, press releases, creative materials, and consumer-facing disclosures
Review, negotiate, and approve contracts related to marketing, advertising, promotional campaigns, sweepstakes, and digital marketing
