The School of Architecture, Computing & Engineering, manages a well-established portfolio of Engineering courses covering Mechanical Engineering, Motorsport & Automotive Engineering, Chemical Engineering Aerospace Engineering, Additive Layer Manufacturing, CNC Machining and Composite Compression Moulding. Research in Engineering is carried out under four pillars – namely Additive Layer manufacturing, Composite Engineering, Energy and Green technologies and Process Engineering with emphases on cross pillar research.
Job Responsibility:
Contribute to the development of Motorsport & Automotive Engineering
Research and teaching across the Engineering’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses
Work with staff and students in the pursuit of research both as an individual and as part of the wider School and Faculty activities
Contribute to the work of established research groups
Delivering all aspects of aerospace engineering
Requirements:
PhD degree in Engineering or a very closely related subject
Good experience in all aspects of Motorsport & Automotive Engineering
Expertise in Vehicle Dynamics + Design of Chassis
Expertise in Alternative power trains
Membership of a professional body will be an advantage
Track record of dissemination of research outputs / achievements in high quality scientific/technical journals
Potential to attract research funding and/or generate external income
