Job Responsibility

Help doctors and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications
Review every prescription in the queue
Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies or anything unusual
Enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide solutions
Look for ways to go above and beyond for patients
Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings
Interpret medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions, appropriate drug selection and appropriateness
Accurately enter / verify the order or prescription into the computer system, label, and dispense medications
