Job Responsibility:
Oversee teaching, curriculum development, and ongoing scholarship on the BA Acting and Performance course
Develop the curriculum in innovative and critical directions
Challenge the canon of contemporary performance while promoting diversity and inclusion
Stay abreast of research and industry developments to ensure they are reflected in the curriculum
Contribute to teaching and scholarly activity
Support learning across a wide range of methodologies and practices
Take responsibility for a year group of undergraduate students
Provide pastoral support
Monitor student progress and attendance
Liaise with colleagues to ensure a supportive learning environment
Requirements:
Extensive experience teaching acting at all levels, particularly within professional vocational training programmes
Strong commitment to nurturing the next generation of performers
Understanding of and dedication to creating an inclusive training environment
Knowledge and experience of contemporary theatre and theatre-making processes
Professional experience across TV, film, gaming, digital, audio, media, or theatre industries
Ability to integrate professional practice as an actor or director into the course
