About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Wealth Underwriter... Position Summary: The Senior Lead Wealth Underwriter is responsible for the independent analysis, structuring, and underwriting of highly complex commercial credit relationships for law firm clients. This role supports the Legal Specialty Group (LSG) by partnering closely with Private Bankers and Regional Directors to deliver customized credit solutions that balance risk, regulatory requirements, and an exceptional client experience. The position requires deep technical expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to lead credit discussions with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibility

  • Analyze, structure, and underwrite complex commercial credit relationships
  • Compile, analyze, and document detailed borrower, financial, credit risk, and collateral information
  • Manage and monitor a complex portfolio of law firm clients
  • Conduct industry, market, and client-specific research
  • Review and negotiate loan documentation and credit provisions
  • Exercise independent credit judgment
  • Communicate credit recommendations clearly and effectively
  • Regularly service existing credits
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced underwriters

Requirements

7+ years of Wealth Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
