The Platform team is responsible for managing critical services that are essential to the success and sustainability of our organization. In simple terms, we handle transactional communication send-outs to our customers via email, SMS, and push notifications. These services demand attention to detail, proactive maintenance, and swift response times to ensure seamless operations. These initiatives require dedicated expertise and resources to execute efficiently and effectively.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing critical services that are essential to the success and sustainability of our organization
  • Handling transactional communication send-outs to our customers via email, SMS, and push notifications
  • Re-architecture/platform modernization, high availability and internationalization efforts

Requirements:

  • 5+ years designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python
  • Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
  • Experience defining a technical plan for significant feature or system component delivery with an elegant, simple, and extensible design
  • Writes high-quality code that is easily understood and used by others
  • Proficient at making significant changes in a large code base and has developed tools and practices to do so safely
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to support effective collaboration with a global engineering team
