Job Description:

UI-focused Product Design Senior or Lead role, with a bank who are redefining what it feels like to work in finance. This is a hands-on role focused on setting the design vision, principles, and processes for point-of-sale (POS) products. You’ll be improving experiences across all three customer types: merchants, suppliers, and end users, with a strong focus on high-quality UI design and shipping fast. The bank is actively embedding AI into design workflows – including building internal tools to handle repetitive tasks like reviewing component-level work for design system alignment and accessibility compliance. This will allow you to focus on higher-value design and leadership contributions. You’ll report to the Head of Design, and be part of a wider design team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead design for POS lending, shaping the customer, supplier, and merchant experience
  • Manage and mentor 1 Senior Product Designer (initially), with potential to grow the team
  • Establish design foundations and iterate at speed (bi-weekly releases)
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across design, product, and engineering
  • Elevate design quality and craft

Requirements:

  • Strong track record in UI and UX design within B2C environments
  • Experience working as a Designer within embedded product teams (in-house) and influencing across disciplines
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, agile environments with hands-on delivery focus
  • Confident setting design principles and elevating design maturity
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled design processes
  • Strong experience with native mobile app design (shown in portfolio also)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high quality UI craft as well as process

Nice to have:

Experience in lending or ecommerce is a bonus
