Job Description:

Senior level individual contributor role in Wells Fargo Wealth & Investment Management Data Management team, responsible for leading initiatives by eliciting business requirements, translating to data requirements, and developing data sourcing recommendations to ensure business objectives are fulfilled while promoting distribution of strategic data.

Job Responsibility:

Lead WIM initiatives by eliciting business requirements
Translate business requirements to corresponding data requirements
Develop data sourcing and provisioning recommendations
Ensure business objectives are fulfilled while promoting distribution of strategic data
Inform and influence development of approved data sources
Contribute to maturing and simplifying the data environment
Maintain compliance with data management policies and procedures
Function in hybrid agile environment partnering with business and technology teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data requirements
Provoke conversations and drive clarity in use case business data requirements
Mature and standardize process of developing and documenting requirements
Analyze use cases and business requirements
Profile data and analyze disparate datasets using SQL
Develop strategies to simplify data environments and data flows
Lead business initiatives in forums with stakeholders
Develop current state understanding of data asset landscape
Lead and execute data sourcing & provisioning
Partner with application business owners and technology
Identify alternate data sources
Inform and influence data design of Data Products
Provide leadership to influence roadmap of approved data sources
Contribute to WIM data catalog through metadata
Build domain expertise, lead project teams, and mentor staff
Create communication routines with stakeholders

Requirements:

7+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience
7+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably brokerage, trust, fiduciary, wealth, and investment management
5+ years of experience enabling delivery of Business Intelligence (BI), data, and analytic capabilities
5+ years of experience in business and data analysis
Experience working with business users and data consumers understanding processes and procedures
Experience in eliciting business requirements and professionally documenting them
Ability to drive data solutions in partnership with line of business and technology
Very strong SQL skills and Excel skills
Proficient in communicating complex data concepts clearly
Knowledge of data management policy & procedures, technology policies, governance challenges
Understanding of data integration, curation, and delivery approaches using BI, semantic layers, APIs, and data virtualization
Experience identifying internal and external data sources from multiple sources
Ability to provide data sourcing and provisioning recommendations
Strong project management skills including handling multiple projects concurrently
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
Highly refined professional verbal and written communications

Nice to have:

Experience with Generative AI tools and techniques to creatively improve data processes and productivity
Involvement in regulatory reporting activities
