Job Description:

Wells Fargo has embarked on a multiyear transformation journey aimed at building a centralized capability to store, manage and analyze Financial Crimes Compliance Operations (FCO) data to fulfill the Bank's BSA / AML regulatory, compliance and risk commitments. The BSA/AML Data Transformation team delivers to our stakeholders curated data products, which are valuable, understandable, and trustworthy to our stakeholders, the Operations and Risk analytics communities. These products directly support their ability to leverage Wells Fargo data assets for insight generation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence strategies, objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex data platforms and utilities across multiple groups and functions
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique data product enablement initiatives and challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas of the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others, while adhering to set data governance and standards
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant data product solutions that are large-scale cross-functional or companywide strategies
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance and design analytics applications across multiple platforms and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Provide expert input on new use case intake, prioritization, product roadmap definition, and other critical business processes
  • Create and maintain highly complex data product roadmaps throughout the data product lifecycle with detailed specifications, requirements, and flows for data capabilities
  • Design and maintain innovative data products, enabling data availability for data intelligence, analytics, and reporting
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between data management, product teams, data engineering, and architecture teams throughout the data product lifecycle

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Knowledge of big data solutions such as Teradata, Hadoop, Google Big Query
  • Experience with Python
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML/KYC data use cases and associated data products
  • Proficiency in SAS and SQL
  • Demonstrated strengths in strategic solutioning, planning, and secondary management, as well as cross functional collaboration
  • Knowledge of ROI assessments and goal planning
  • Experience working closely with senior/executive leadership and audit partners
  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to construct PowerPoint presentations for executive communications
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
