Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to join our team in the South Florida Market, supporting business clients that have sales revenue up to $100MM.
Job Responsibility:
Strategically support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients by leveraging established networks, cultivating relationships, and advancing high‑quality opportunities through the pipeline
Drive disciplined relationship planning by delivering the full Wells Fargo solution set and ensuring sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline data remain accurate and current in all relevant systems
Proactively prospect, qualify, and advance new business opportunities within the target market, maintaining ongoing engagement with prospects throughout the full sales cycle
Develop, retain, and grow complex commercial relationships through the art of strategic relationship management, understanding client needs, anticipating the priorities of key financial stakeholders, communicating proactively, managing expectations, and providing advisory‑level guidance to deepen and expand relationships
Serve as an advisor to senior leadership in structuring, modifying, and renewing complex credit solutions including cash‑flow, real estate, and industry‑specific facilities—by analyzing financials, presenting recommendations to clients, and coordinating cross‑functionally
Lead strategy and resolution for the full suite of Wells Fargo commercial solutions, engaging product partners to design client‑specific structures and apply deep understanding of client businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions
Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leaders on implementing innovative, enterprise‑wide strategies and business solutions within the Commercial Banking Relationship Management organization
Engage strategically across all levels of the enterprise to strengthen processes, enhance risk controls, resolve client issues, and represent Wells Fargo externally—while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and a mentor to emerging talent
Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to deliver client and market insights that inform the innovation, design, and delivery of credit products, including large‑scale or cross‑functional initiatives that support enterprise‑wide strategy
Requirements:
7+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Nice to have:
Demonstrated success managing Commercial Banking relationships for clients with annual revenues up to $100MM
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty groups: lending, loan servicing, products, and credit practices
Proven experience leveraging Treasury Management solutions to meet client needs and drive relationship growth
Established in‑market network with strong familiarity and demonstrated expertise within the South Florida business community
Advanced understanding of credit negotiation, including interest rates, pricing, terms, and collateral requirements
Strong risk identification and mitigation capability, with consistent adherence to compliance standards and risk management practices
Demonstrated history of delivering strong sales performance and achieving growth targets
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Highly organized with strong multi‑tasking and prioritization skills, ensuring effective management of complex portfolios and sales activities
Completion of a formal credit training program, reinforcing analytical rigor and sound credit judgment
Proven ability to generate new client relationships, while building, deepening, and retaining long‑term partnerships
