Job Description:

Our Cloud Engineering team develops and operates the orchestration of the cloud infrastructure on top of which the OutSystems is hosted. This cloud infrastructure supports hundreds of customers, with a total count of millions of end-users worldwide. You will be coaching and mentor junior Engineers in the team, as well as contributing for a resilient and reliable Cloud. You are a developer (or former developer) who has learned cloud infrastructure, databases, and operational best-practices along the way.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work alongside your Team Lead to provide technical leadership to the team
  • Align with company goals, raise the standard of engineering, introduce new technologies, mentor team members, mitigate risks
  • Plan, execute, and automate complex operations such as cloud migrations, Cross-region DR
  • Develop and maintain AWS based services, using API Gateway, Lambda, Dynamo DB, and other AWS services
  • Develop and maintain tooling within the OutSystems ecosystem to automate manual processes
  • Last-line troubleshooting of complex incidents created by the solutions developed in your team, having on-call support
  • Be a key stakeholder in the design of cloud services so that they are resilient from day 0

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience building and supporting scalable software
  • Deep expertise in AWS (EC2, RDS, VPC) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer)
  • Operational Excellence including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Fluency in English and good communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Professional-level cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, etc.) or equivalent experience managing complex multi-cloud environments
  • Enjoy sharing knowledge through internal mentorship, public speaking, or engineering blogs
  • Experience with Low-Code/High-Code hybrid environments, specifically OutSystems
  • Proven success leading large, cross-functional projects from discovery to delivery
