Job Description:

As a Senior Journalist within LADbible Group, you will use your editorial talent to produce high-quality and thought-provoking articles – covering breaking news, features, interviews, reviews and more. You will help enhance the brand image by maintaining a strong online presence as well as developing and improving the quality of written articles. You will demand attention to detail, have strong understanding of SEO and constantly look to evolve your individual journalistic voice.

Job Responsibility:

  • Write accurate, engaging, and informative content that consistently reflects and strengthens the tone and voice of the brand
  • Lead the production of trending and high-performing articles at speed, maintaining impeccable grammar and editorial standards while meeting deadlines and output targets
  • Proactively pitch original story ideas and follow-up angles for major stories across LADbible Group brands, driving sustained audience interest
  • Champion SEO and content discovery strategy, collaborating closely with SEO specialists to maximise reach while preserving editorial integrity and creativity
  • Cultivate, maintain, and strategically leverage industry contacts to generate strong leads, exclusives, and follow-up opportunities
  • Stay ahead of competitors by actively researching and identifying emerging news, trends, and reports before they peak
  • Act as a senior, proactive member of the LADbible Group Editorial team, contributing to editorial direction, collaboration, and best practice
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of brand tone and audience expectations, applying this insight across all content formats
  • Track and analyse article performance using metrics such as sessions and engagement time, using insights to inform follow-ups and continuously improve content strategy

Requirements:

  • Strong journalistic background in a newsroom/similar role
  • NCTJ Qualified
  • Strong experience in SEO and content discovery
  • Target driven and understand the necessity for tight turnaround times
  • Write to a high standard, and have evidence of research and reaching out to contacts
  • Proven ability to think, imagine and produce new and original ideas
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office

Nice to have:

A degree within a relevant field is desirable but not essential
