Senior Jewellery Expert

• Use your specialist knowledge to be responsible for creating attractive auctions by evaluating and arranging lots submitted by our sellers
• Review the lot titles, descriptions, pictures, and provide users with an estimated and realistic value
• Maintain transparent and fair user transactions
• Use a professional, polite and courteous approach with our sellers
• Work with our sales department to recruit and develop new sellers and diversify the selection of lots offered in your auctions
• Work together with our marketing department to generate an increase of potential bidder attention at your auction

• A Gemmology Diploma from one of the schools recognised by the FEEG or GIA
• 5–10 years’ experience in the jewellery, diamonds or precious stones trade with knowledge of the manufacturing process, quality control, or the ability to perform gemmological tests
• Leadership and project management capabilities, with proven experience partnering closely with Marketing, Commercial Operations and other cross-functional teams to drive complex initiatives
• Good grasp of market prices and understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes, cost structures, and production dynamics
• Experience in appraising and assessing jewellery
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Extensive trade knowledge with a network of potential sellers and experts in your field
• A real team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in computer tools used for data analysis, reporting and presentations For example Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint or Google Slides
• The diplomatic competence needed to act as a mediator in disputes between users
• Fluent English language skills
