Job Description

Senior Java Engineer – Actuarial Data Squad – Outside IR35 – Contract. We’re looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join a high-profile project focused on backend systems that automate complex financial and actuarial processes. This is a hands-on role delivering backend solutions under tight deadlines in a highly regulated environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop backend systems and APIs in Java, using the Spring ecosystem
  • Work with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Helm
  • Design and implement scalable, production-ready systems for complex financial processes
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align solutions with operational needs
  • Support discovery and proof-of-concept work to validate technical approaches

Requirements

  • Strong experience with the Spring ecosystem
  • Solid knowledge of AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Helm
  • Comfortable working in large, regulated, or secure corporate environments
