Job Description:

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional for the role of Consultant Specialist in the SecSvcs Digital Assets Tech department. The role involves working in a cross-functional team to build and maintain strategic technology platforms as part of a global data and digital transformation initiative. Candidates should have strong expertise in Java, Springboot, APIs, and related technologies, along with experience in microservices architecture and DevOps tooling.

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for hands-on design, build and delivery of new as well as management of Digital and Data technology services
Responsible for adoption of Industry standard best practices
Responsible for the delivery and rollout of strategic Digital and Data Technology platform globally, in line with the roadmap agreed with the business
Build excellent relationships with Product, Product Delivery and Operations teams to help create a 'one team' approach to planning and delivery
Identifies and removes barriers to success
Always acts in HSBC’s best interests and willing to openly discuss potentially difficult topics
Promotes and takes accountability for quality
identifies opportunities to improve delivery and oversees the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions
Promotes a positive work culture based on respect for people, integrity of actions, creativity and collaboration leading to increased productivity

Requirements:

Strong hands-on expertise in Java, springboot, API
Working experience on basic UI technologies like REACT, NodeJs would be an added advantage
Strong hand-on expertise in microservices architecture
Strong implementation knowledge of industry standard design patterns
Working experience in SQL
Ability to independently design and build complex solutions
Hands experience of DevOps tooling (e.g Jenkins, Git, Ansible)
Hands experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL would be an added advantage

Nice to have:

Working experience on basic UI technologies like REACT, NodeJs
Hands experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL
