Job Description:

Senior Java Engineer position at Citi, focusing on applications development with strong Java programming fundamentals, expertise in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles. The role involves partnering with management teams, resolving high-impact problems, providing technical expertise, and mentoring mid-level developers.

Job Responsibility:

Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions
Identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes
Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming
Ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts

Requirements:

12+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development
Strong Java programming fundamentals
Expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns
Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles
Experience with Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Maven
Proficiency in database management and version control systems like Git
Hands-on skills in creating ETL piles using Java, SpringBoot
Experience in designing and developing back end and front end applications
Experience with Reactive programming using RxJs
Architectural level knowledge and design patterns in Java, ETL
Experience with SCMs like GIT and tools like JIRA
Agile/Scrum methodology experience
Strong systems analysis, design and architecture fundamentals
Unit Testing and other SDLC activities
Strong communication skills
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Experience in MongoDB/Oracle databases
