Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. This role involves the development, maintenance, and support of client confirmation systems while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Job Responsibility:

Own and be responsible for end-to-end development of the projects/programs assigned
deliver high-quality software programs adhering to standards and be involved in design reviews, program specifications review
collaborate with stakeholders and work closely with various technology groups and vendor organizations to drive a standard framework for development processes
deliver state-of-the-art solutions using new stack development using Agile/DevOps/Microservices/Docker/Java8 while maintaining legacy technology stack
regularly interact with business and operations partners globally
work across multiple development teams - offshore/onshore/vendor teams and track project deliverables closely
partner and work closely with cross-functional teams for brainstorming on best solutions
actively work with the team to understand and resolve issues
ensure strong commitment to quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
person with 6-9 years of experience, preferably in a financial services environment
experience working with client confirmation systems or other Middle Office applications is highly desirable
strong technical background in JAVA/J2EE, Micro services applications, DevOps, Agile, Cloud AWS/Azure/Kubernetes
experience in J2EE technologies such as JDK 1.8, 1.17, Spring Framework, Messaging Services (Solace), Databases (Oracle)
hands-on development experience on Java & modernization technologies
strong development life cycle and automation pipelines experience
experience with Equities products development is a strong plus
experience with Middle Office Trade Processing and Confirmation management (FIX, DTCC CTM) is a strong plus
understanding of the end-to-end client confirmation process, including central trade matching (DTCC CTM) platforms, FIX confirms, allocation and trade matching, confirm generation, and delivery is a strong plus
good knowledge of CI/CD and DevOPS
excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
proven experience with staff and function transition between locations and time-zones preferred
experience with ECS and Ambrosia-based micro services development can be an advantage
strong stakeholders management experience
technology migration project exposure is a strong plus
experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
familiarity with Agile development methodologies
good exposure in overall quality implementation to deliver product fit for purpose using BDD/JUnit/Sonar/Functional Automation
proven experience to work without much supervision.
