Job Description:

Randstad is partnering with a leading resource technology company to hire a Senior Java Developer for their global team based in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Java-based applications using modern frameworks and cloud environments.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Spring Boot
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, including SSO, OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless system integrations
Optimize application performance and ensure high availability
Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and optimize queries for efficient data retrieval
Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments
Ensure best coding practices, security standards, and compliance
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Spring and Spring Boot
Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and other authentication mechanisms
Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services
Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and ORM frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
Knowledge of security best practices in application development
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an Agile environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
Knowledge of front-end technologies (Angular, React) is a plus
Understanding of event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
