Job Description:

The Senior Java Developer works within Spread Products Technology. The responsibilities include developing server-side components in Java, working on strategic state-of-the-art solutions like Microservices, Docker for application hosting, and using Agile and DevOps methodologies to support Global Spread Products. The position involves high-level design, coding, unit testing, and other SDLC activities.

Job Responsibility:

Analyze and collaborate technical solutions and strategies with the team
partner with Technical Lead to provide the optimum solution for our GSP clients
participate in the successful delivery of technical solutions
transfer knowledge to other developers during the implementation of solutions and projects
perform design reviews, code reviews, test reviews and technical document reviews
responsible for Systems Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities
ensure code developed meets the business and stakeholder requirements
explore existing application systems
determine areas of complexity and potential risks to a successful implementation
communicate continually with the client and project teams
contribute to technology team ideas and explain the progress on the development efforts to stakeholders
facilitate improvements to software architecture, software development process and new technologies
follow Citi’s engineering standards and ensure these are followed across all modules in the project
ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
operate with a limited level of direct supervision

Requirements:

Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
extensive experience in system analysis and UI programming of software applications
ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
expert level hands-on knowledge and understanding in JAVA/J2EE spring boot, spring framework stack
deep understanding of Microservice and Microservices best practice
hands-on SQL, MS SQL/Oracle database
MongoDB knowledge and experience
experience in SCMs like GIT and tools like JIRA
good understanding of OpenShift & Docker
good understanding of Kafka
agile and Scrum methodology experience
strong systems analysis, design, and architecture fundamentals
ability to coach, mentor, and transfer knowledge effectively
ability to contribute in high- and low-level system design (Sequence diagram, class diagrams)
strong communication skills to effectively partner with business and other stakeholders

Nice to have:

Good understanding of Kafka
MongoDB knowledge and experience
good understanding of OpenShift & Docker
