Senior Java Developer

• Translate application designs into well-structured, secure, testable, and maintainable code
• Develop small-scale features and functions independently, and contribute to larger program efforts
• Perform application systems analysis and programming, including feasibility studies, cost/time estimates, and implementation
• Write unit tests and integrate code into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with minimal guidance
• Understand application development concepts and principles, and gain familiarity with related technologies (e.g., risk technology, middleware, mainframe/non-mainframe applications)
• Learn system functionality, architecture, dependencies, and runtime properties, including business requirements and customer use cases
• Participate in solution discussions, system design reviews, and documentation creation
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate effectively with team members, manager, and peers
• Contribute to improving team processes, accelerating delivery, and enhancing code quality
• Adhere to Citi's risk and compliance policies and regulations

• Minimum 4-7 years in an Apps Development role with demonstrated execution capabilities
• Hands-on experience in backend technologies: Java, Spring Boot, and Microservice Architecture
• Experience in any one the containerization technologies: OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP etc.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts, tools and continuous delivery pipelines: Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Tekton, Harness, Jira, etc.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
