Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Cebu team, collaborating with our global team in Australia. The position requires working from 7 AM to 4 PM.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop, and deliver robust, maintainable code using best practices and lateral thinking
  • Act as a technical design lead in Agile and other delivery teams for upcoming projects
  • Contribute to a developer-led culture by sharing insights and evolving development practices
  • Collaborate on international TELCO market integration initiatives
  • Support ongoing maintenance activities, including change requests and enhancements
  • Ensure all code is unit tested, performant, and adheres to maintainability standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Senior Developer/Engineer delivering high-quality web applications
  • Advanced proficiency in Java (Java 8 to 17), including J2EE, Servlets, JSP, Spring Framework
  • Strong experience with modern web technologies, including Angular and Node.js, and other related technologies for building responsive web and mobile applications
  • Advanced MS SQL skills, including stored procedures, query optimization, and integration
  • Solid front-end development skills in HTML, CSS and bootstrap
  • Proven ability to work independently on end-to-end solutions within estimated timelines
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services
  • Familiarity with tools and environments such as JUnit, Jenkins, Selenium, Apache Tomcat, NetBeans IDE, VS Code
  • Version control experience with GIT

Nice to have:

  • Experience integrating Java with other technologies, such as C++
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience designing databases, including triggers and automation
  • Prior experience in the Utilities or TELCO billing sector is highly valued
