The VIP support technician is responsible for providing in-person and remote technical support for executives. This role provides white glove support and customer services, to ensure the executives are satisfied with their IT support. This role is responsible for the VIP user experience for the services NTT DATA delivers to them.
Job Responsibility
Provide onsite in person technical support for VIP users, with high level of customer service
Performs troubleshooting, parts replacement, systems upgrades, deployment, and repair on desktops / notebooks/ printers / tablets
May respond to calls after normal business hours per leader instructions
Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and takes corrective action
Interact directly with clients and other internal and external sources to resolve issues
Performs advanced trouble-shooting techniques to address complex technical issues
Identifies risks and develops solutions for client tasks
Coordinates with on-site facilities and technical contacts regarding readiness and delivery issues
May distribute workload among team members
May prepare documentation to record and track issue resolutions
Often provides team leadership and mentoring
Uses advanced tools /technical knowledge to remediate client problems and conduct scheduled installations
Provides technical feedback on technical process issues to improve overall service delivery
May act as team lead at times and coach team members
Travel may be required
Requirements
Proficient in Windows-based operating environment, specifically in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
Good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems may be required
Strong knowledge of Windows operating system environment
Advanced client service skills
A+ desktop or equivalent skillset is required
The individual must have excellent Japanese communication skills (spoken, reading, and written)
Typically requires 4-6 years’ relevant experience
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Nice to have
MCP, MCSE, CNE or Network+ certification is preferred
Proficiency in English (spoken, reading, and written) is preferred
