Job Description:

Step into a visionary leadership role with our Calgary client as they launch a groundbreaking 12 month enterprise initiative. This high-profile contract offers the unique opportunity to define the strategy, architecture, and governance for Agentic AI capabilities across a major public sector organization. As the Program Lead, you will be the driving force behind adopting next-generation AI technologies to enhance operational efficiency and foster responsible innovation. If you are a forward-thinking expert ready to shape the future of municipal technology and lead a complex digital transformation, this is the project for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop the overarching enterprise strategy and technology architecture for Agentic AI capabilities
  • Create and manage a comprehensive implementation roadmap to ensure the safe and scalable adoption of AI tools
  • Establish enterprise-wide governance frameworks including standards, controls, and oversight models for emerging technologies
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams across IT and various business units to ensure successful program delivery
  • Oversee the end-to-end program lifecycle including scope definition, risk management, and financial reporting
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal governance partners to align AI initiatives with organizational goals
  • Facilitate complex decision-making and drive consensus among diverse stakeholder groups through clear communication

Requirements:

  • At least ten years of experience in IT project management with a focus on industry-recognized best practices
  • Minimum of four years of experience specifically in an IT program management capacity within a large and complex organization
  • Extensive background leading enterprise-scale AI initiatives including strategy, governance, and cloud-based implementations
  • Deep technical knowledge of generative AI, Agentic AI, and platforms such as Azure AI or Microsoft 365
  • Proven leadership skills in managing large teams, prioritizing resources, and driving significant organizational change
