Our IT Field Services team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Field Services Technician to join us on a 12 month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will deliver onsite and remote IT field services across our Retail stores, offices, and distribution centres throughout Victoria. You will support store projects and developments, providing hands-on IT support, maintenance, and audits, while working closely with store development teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to deliver new store implementations. As the senior technician, you will manage escalated support tickets, using your technical expertise to restore systems and services within agreed timeframes, or implement effective workarounds to ensure continued trading.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver onsite IT support for store developments, new store openings, upgrades, relocations, and lifecycle replacements
Install, configure, test, and maintain IT and POS equipment to ensure systems are operational and standardised
Conduct scheduled onsite audits to assess, optimise, and maintain store IT environments
Diagnose and resolve complex IT incidents requiring onsite presence, including escalated issues
Coordinate with and support third-party vendors and technicians to deliver IT services and projects
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by restoring systems promptly and enabling continued trading
Maintain accurate documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles to support ongoing operations
Manage and maintain tools and equipment provided for field services work
Requirements:
Proven experience in an IT Field Services Technician or IT Service Desk role, with a strong foundation in hands-on support
Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and deliver practical solutions
Strong ability to understand requirements, follow processes, and maintain clear, accurate documentation
A proactive mindset, with a focus on identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations
Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly to retail sites as part of the role
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
Strong communication skills and a commitment to building positive working relationships across the business
Ability to lift equipment within safe working load limits
Valid drivers licence
