We are seeking a visionary and highly accomplished Senior IT Enterprise Architect/Strategist to lead the development, evaluation, and management of organization-wide Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategies. In this high-profile position, you will define modernization roadmaps, streamline application landscapes, and draft corporate technical policies that unify diverse technologies into standardized, shared frameworks. Rather than focusing on singular application designs, this strategic, macro-level role shapes the overarching technology stack, architectural standards, and composable platform governance for the entire enterprise.
Job Responsibility
Develop, recommend, and implement the overarching IT Enterprise Architecture strategy. Establish enterprise-wide standards, patterns, and guideline templates to support unified, standardized practices across the organization
Formulate and manage multi-year architecture roadmaps that advance corporate alignment, eliminate structural redundancies, and reduce operational costs
Identify core enterprise platforms, products, and tech stacks using modular, composable architecture principles to maximize reuse and interoperability
Conduct deep technology assessments and fit-gap analyses to evaluate emerging solutions, offering optimal roadmap recommendations to senior leadership
Map complex business capabilities and data interdependencies, providing direction on operationalizing business visions into technical systems, frameworks, and processes
Provide high-level governance and architectural support to distributed delivery teams, ensuring active initiatives conform to Target State Architecture (TSA) baselines
Proactively identify systemic technology risks, architectural limitations, and compliance vulnerabilities, building strong governance frameworks to mitigate long-term impacts
Collaborate and negotiate with diverse stakeholder groups, technical directors, and executive sponsors. Author impactful briefing notes, technical positions, and standard operating policies
Requirements
Minimum of 15+ years of dedicated professional experience operating as an Enterprise Architect across a diverse variety of platforms and technical ecosystems
Proven track record in a pure Enterprise Architecture and Strategy role (distinguished from an application or solution-specific design position)
Thorough, comprehensive structural knowledge of industry-standard EA Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), platform strategies, and cross-domain architectures
Demonstrated capability creating, reviewing, and implementing technology policies, blueprints, and patterns from an organization-wide viewpoint
Deep conceptual knowledge spanning Application Architecture, Data Infrastructure, Technology Clusters, and emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Superior problem-solving, strategic thinking, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to streamline complex landscapes and decommission legacy technical debt
Nice to have
Strong understanding of public sector/government-wide modernization strategies, checkpoint gating processes, and structured Project Management methodologies
