You will be instrumental in helping Matillion create a proactive, fully automated, and highly scalable IT environment that removes friction and sets a new benchmark for service excellence. This pivotal role will be the core representative of the IT Service Desk in Hyderabad, combining deep technical expertise with a holistic approach to process optimisation. You will move the IT service from reactive ticket handling to proactive incident prevention, working on site in Hyderabad to drive this culture of relentless automation and technical leadership. The success of this role will be measured by achieving a full process-driven workflow and complete automation of service desk activities across the organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Relentlessly automate manual IT processes across core systems, particularly user lifecycle management (onboarding/offboarding), utilizing no-code tools and scripting
Proactively analyze support ticket trends to identify and eliminate entire classes of service requests through strategic system improvements and automation
Own the problem management lifecycle, performing root cause analysis to engineer permanent, proactive solutions that stop recurring incidents before they happen
Lead strategic automation initiatives, including developing AI-driven solutions for the service desk (like the Felix bot) and building out MDM automation via API integration
Act as the final technical authority and primary technical lead for complex issues, providing mentorship and driving best engineering practices within the team
Requirements:
Deep technical expertise in engineering, administering, and automating cloud and physical infrastructure (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, Intune)
A proven track record of engineering automated solutions using scripting (like Python) or no-code automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Workato)
Strong service mindset, a collaborative approach, and the ability to effectively scope complex business requirements into technical remits
Proficiency in incident and problem management, with a sharp focus on root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes
A high willingness to learn new technologies and an understanding of advanced concepts like AI protocols (e.g., data poisoning, hallucination) and AI-driven automation
