As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will lead the business and data analysis effort to optimize the firm's front-to-back funding functions. You will be tasked with transforming complex financial visions into actionable technical roadmaps. Your role involves navigating the intricate world of Capital Markets to ensure the infrastructure supports risk appetite while maximizing operational efficiency. This position requires a rare blend of deep technical data proficiency and an advanced understanding of Treasury and Liquidity functions.
Job Responsibility:
Drive the implementation design for Funding and Liquidity systems across forecasting, execution, and regulatory reporting
Act as the primary liaison between technical development teams and senior business stakeholders to align the vision with execution
Utilize SQL to perform deep-dive data elicitation, gap analysis, and validation across complex financial data sets
Bring industry best practices to identify opportunities for optimizing funding decision-making through better infrastructure and reporting
Lead requirements planning, elicitation, and prioritization in an Agile environment, delivering structured documentation for diverse audiences
Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT Business Analysis, specifically within Capital Markets, Treasury, Liquidity, or Risk/Finance functions
Advanced proficiency in SQL and superior data analysis capabilities
Minimum of an Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics)
Exceptional facilitation skills with a proven track record of leading discussions with both technical quants and business executives
Nice to have:
Master’s degree or relevant industry designations (CFA, FRM)
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Prior experience with Asset Liability Reporting (ALM) and/or Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP)
Deep understanding of Capital Markets financial products (Repos, Swaps, Fixed Income)
Prior experience within a major Canadian bank’s Capital Markets (CM) division
