Senior IT Business Analyst

• Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors
• researching and implementing industry/vendor software migration projects
• continually monitoring and interpreting communications from multiple vendor sources on market and vendor data changes
• analyze the impact of market and vendor driven changes on SMC application and to Citi business
• propose solutions, if needed, to ensure that market and vendor driven changes are accurately reflected on SMC application
• utilize knowledge of software development lifecycle procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements
• derive test cases and test system component changes through the testing environments
• analysis of large sets of product reference data across equities, fixed income, derivatives and structured finance securities from varying sources
• consult with users and clients to troubleshoot complex system issues/problems
• foster communication between business leaders and IT stakeholders facilitating the exchange of ideas/information
• act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts and improve the efficiency of delivery
• appropriately assess risk and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

• Relevant experience with knowledge of financial markets being advantageous
• experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• demonstrate excellent analytical skills, communication and presentation skills with an ability to tailor delivery to the required audience
• proven problem-solver with the ability to work under pressure, approach work methodically and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• experience in data analysis with knowledge of databases
• SQL knowledge a must
• ability to work independently and in a team across levels, regions, and functions, with understanding of how collaboration accomplishes objectives
• able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
• experience of partner management and influencing skills
• Microsoft Office skills - primarily Excel
• knowledge of the various stages of Software Development Lifecycle and knowledge of applicable business systems and industry standards
