The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company is supporting a global Listed creative business which enables all people to enjoy entertainment in a meaningful and accessible way. This strong brand has been doing very well since the pandemic and due to growth is looking for Senior IT Auditors to join their Corporate Internal Audit team, to be based in Houston three times a week. Although, flexibility is understood and extended when required. It offers travel of around 20%, mainly across the US and occasionally other global locations. The business is of a decentralised nature, and as such offers a great opportunity to do diverse projects and learn the complex business organically. The team is looking for a starting leader to join the IT Audit Team. This is a brilliant opportunity for an IT Audit professional looking to lead on projects and truly have an impact on the business. Considering the business model is heavily technology-driven, you will be an essential part of the business’ success. Job Responsibility:

  • Leading and delivering risk-based IT Audits across the whole organisation, covering various IT systems (SAP, HR systems and Linux to name a few)
  • Executing cybersecurity and data privacy audits, as well as SOC1/SOC2 reviews
  • Assessing and enhancing internal controls (especially, but not limited to, SOX)
  • Offer your findings and influence stakeholders, including CFO’s and Financial Controllers
  • Coaching, mentoring and managing junior staff members (around 2 people per project)

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of IT auditing experience (internal or external) with a strong grasp of risk and controls
  • Background in tech environments such as cloud, ERP systems, cybersecurity, or digital platforms is advantageous
  • Certifications like CISA, CISSP, or CPA preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate tech-speak into business value
  • Experience in a business who has gone through mergers & acquisitions is a bonus, but not a must
  • Curious-mindedness and ability to share ideas and stay open to innovation

  • To initiate the audit process, including meeting with the client manager to discuss the objectives and scope of the audit review
  • To ensure the design and completion of all aspects of the audit process, including the design of appropriate tests, in respect of every audit to a standard determined by the Company
  • To ensure a draft audit report is produced in respect of every audit undertaken and within a time scale agreed with the client manager. To ensure that recommendations in audit reports are agreed with client managers including implementation dates of same
  • To liaise with all levels of management, as required, with regard to the audit process including agreeing recommendations in reports with client managers and agreeing implementation dates of same
