We are seeking a creative, organised and insight-driven Senior International Marketing Executive to support the delivery of our global marketing strategy across key international markets, including APAC (Asia-Pacific, inc China), MENA (Middle East and North Africa) and SSA (Sub-Saharan Africa). A key part of this role is delivering effective marketing activity for China. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge of Chinese digital ecosystems. This role plays a central part in planning and executing international campaigns, guiding content and messaging, managing partnerships and supporting activity that drives awareness, engagement and enquiries from international and postgraduate students in a variety of accommodation types.
Job Responsibility:
Lead on planning and delivery of international marketing content and lead campaigns across social media, email, digital, and offline activities targeting multiple regions
Develop and adapt content suitable for Chinese audiences across WeChat, RED, Weibo, Bilibili and Douyin, ensuring platform-appropriate communication styles
Support strategy development by contributing market insights and international student behaviour research
Review and translate content between English and Chinese to ensure accuracy, cultural relevance and brand consistency
Coordinate campaign timelines, tasks and project deliverables to ensure activity is delivered on time
Shape and review content for international audiences, ensuring quality and consistency across channels
Support the creation of marketing collateral including digital assets, email communications and promotional materials
Collaborate with international agents, partners and creators to support global visibility and brand alignment
Work with internal teams to ensure marketing activity supports occupancy goals
Track and report campaign performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
Monitor global and China-specific student market trends and competitor activity and provide recommendations
Support development of briefs for design, content and campaign work
Assist in the organisation of offline events relevant to Chinese and international audiences, providing cultural understanding of different markets
Maintain accurate documentation for campaign activity and reporting
Requirements:
Excellent written English and Chinese communication skills
Ability to translate and adapt content from English to Chinese with accuracy, tone consistency and cultural sensitivity
Strong understanding of Chinese social media platforms including WeChat, Weibo, Xiaohongshu (RED), Bilibili and Douyin
Strong organisational and project management skills
Ability to interpret data and trends to support decision making
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
Confidence working independently and taking initiative
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
2-3 years of working in marketing with responsibility for campaign delivery
Experience working with international audiences or markets
Strong communication skills written and verbal
Strong understanding of Chinese social media platforms including WeChat, RED, Weibo, Bilibili & Douyin
Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken), essential for managing Chinese market content and communication
Experience interpreting marketing insights or customer behaviour
Evidence of working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks
Nice to have:
Experience in higher education, PBSA, hospitality or the studying abroad sector
Experience engaging with international agents or partners
Educated to degree level in Marketing, Communications or a related field
Experience working with creators or agencies
Familiarity with international student recruitment cycles
