We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Internal Auditor to join a leading global manufacturing organization in Novi, Michigan. Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct risk-based internal audits across global operations to identify process and control improvements
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts by documenting, testing, and evaluating internal controls
  • Collaborate with business leaders to assess risks and enhance governance and operational performance
  • Assist in developing the annual risk assessment and audit plan
  • Partner with external auditors to coordinate and support audit-related activities
  • Lead or contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness in various business processes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in public accounting or internal auditing, with preference for Big 4 or large regional firm backgrounds
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and risk assessment frameworks
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate findings effectively
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-25% based on project needs
  • Proficient in audit planning, execution, and reporting processes
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making
