Job Description:

Bombardier United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to support our Internal Audit team. The Senior Internal Auditor will report to the Internal Audit Director in Montreal. The position will be in Biggin Hill. This position represents a great opportunity to be directly involved in the company’s sustainability and internal auditing processes and put your talent at work in building a best-in-class organization that will drive reliable and consistent financial performance of Bombardier Inc. Job Responsibility:

  • Execute audit projects based on a risk assessment
  • Support the Sustainability team and audit all metrics
  • Evaluate financial controls, reporting systems and compliance processes
  • Prepare audit reports that adequately communicate the findings
  • Conduct follow-up reviews to validate that process improvement outcomes have been achieved
  • Develop effective and value-added partnerships while maintaining audit independence and objectivity in all assignments
  • Provide ongoing analysis to management to identify new project or service opportunities
  • Carry out special projects assigned by Internal Audit management
  • Support internal controls as part of any ad hoc project
  • Present financial information and analysis to senior management in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
  • Act as a lead on any assignment entrusted by management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience
  • Professional accountant designation (CPA or CIA) or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, and data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Strong understanding of business risks and analytical skills to evaluate areas of risks and to develop appropriate solutions
  • Knowledge of auditing frameworks such as COSO, COBIT
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Organized and manage time efficiently, while working toward aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Skills in preparing presentations for executive level management
  • Team player
  • Can work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions
  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to travel when required (15% of the time)

  • To liaise with all levels of management, as required, with regard to the audit process including agreeing recommendations in reports with client managers and agreeing implementation dates of same
