Bombardier is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support our Internal Audit team with Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. The Senior Finance Analyst will report to the Internal Audit Director. Job Responsibility

  • Lead data analytics initiatives to enhance audit effectiveness and insight generation
  • Design and implement automated solutions and BI tools to streamline audit processes
  • Independently engage with cross-functional teams to gather data and identify control gaps
  • Drive audit mandates and performs financial control testing with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation
  • Lead a growing team of 2 Financial Analysts
  • Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in data analytics and artificial intelligence to drive innovation and best practices
  • Execute projects based on a risk assessment
  • Develop effective and value-added partnerships while maintaining audit independence and objectivity in all assignments
  • Provide ongoing analysis of feedback received from the members of Management to identify new project or service opportunities
  • Develop data visualization reports (e.g. Power BI) to present information in a credible, compelling way
  • Contribute to the audit and advisory engagements by putting forward and executing data analysis scripts designed to increase the quality and efficiency of audits, in accordance with latest industry standards and changing practices
  • Identify relevant data for current and future needs, coordinate data extraction and updates in the source systems
  • Support Data Analytics and internal controls managers in any ad hoc required projects
  • Act as a leader in any mandate given by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience
  • Professional accountant designation (CPA or CIA) or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, and data analysis and visualization tools (e.g.Power BI)
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Lakehouse, ACL, Alteryx, an asset
  • Strong understanding of business risks and analytical skills to evaluate areas of risks and to develop appropriate solutions
  • Knowledge of auditing frameworks such as COSO, COBIT
  • Fluent in French and English, both verbally and in writing
  • Organized and manage time efficiently, while working toward aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Team player
  • Can work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions
  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively
  • Detail oriented
  • Can travel when required (15% of the time)
