We are looking for a senior integration engineer to lead the design and support of complex connections between Workday and enterprise applications. This position is ideal for someone who brings deep Workday expertise along with strong software and integration engineering fundamentals across platforms. The role focuses on building reliable, secure, and observable integrations while partnering with technical teams to ensure orchestration tools support, rather than bypass, system-of-record rules.
Job Responsibility:
Architect, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and enterprise platforms using Workday APIs, web services, and related integration capabilities
Investigate and resolve integration failures by reviewing request and response data, business process behavior, and cross-system sequencing issues
Create integration flows that emphasize pre-write validation, consistent execution, recoverability, and traceable audit logging
Analyze payload structures, security settings, authentication methods, and connectivity issues to ensure stable data exchange
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement orchestration approaches through platforms such as Power Automate and other automation tools
Ensure integration designs preserve Workday business rules, approval paths, and system-of-record responsibilities across connected applications
Perform hands-on troubleshooting without relying solely on abstraction layers, including direct inspection of service calls and message structures
Support implementation and configuration activities related to integration architecture, monitoring, and operational reliability
Requirements:
At least 4 years of hands-on experience building and supporting Workday integrations
Strong expertise with Workday APIs, Workday web services, and the Workday data model, including object relationships and business process behavior
Demonstrated ability to manually construct service requests, interpret responses, and diagnose issues at the protocol or payload level
Solid understanding of XML technologies, schema validation, namespaces, and secure integration connectivity patterns
Experience applying core integration engineering principles such as deterministic processing, fault tolerance, observability, and auditability
Knowledge of orchestration models, request-response and event-driven patterns, and the distinction between workflow coordination and system-of-record ownership
Proficiency in troubleshooting security, validation, and data integrity issues across interconnected enterprise systems
Background in software engineering, automation, and REST API-based integrations within HRIS or enterprise application environments
What we offer:
Medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance
